Excellent. Possesses the same wisdom and insight into human nature and "church" politics as volume one. However, while I gave Circuit Rider's Wife five stars, I am giving this four. First, I detect greater cynicism here. Second, the protagonist seems like a different woman, somewhat more petty.But again, so accurate that I sometimes laughed and sometimes had to suppress the urge to cry over the state of man and even the state of the church. I have no idea what seminary students read to prepare them for the real work of shepherding a local congregation but A Circuit Rider's Wife and A Circuit Rider's Widow should be on the list. In fact, I would suggest would-be pastors read these "novels" before taking the plunge.
